Hiljaditi deo sekunde pre toga granice se suž&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;a&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;vaju na 300 km! Zatim na 300 m u prvih deset milionitih delova sekunde. Veli&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;č&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;ina koja, ako malo razmislimo, izgleda potpuno nerazumno: planeta kao &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;scaron;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;to je Zemlja, sa njenim gradovima, planinama, okeanima, ali i Sunce i sve planete, stotine milijardi zvezda, sazv&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;eždj&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;a i galaksija, sve to &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;sažeto &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;je u prostor manji od jednog brda&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;scaron;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;ceta! Ali tu nije kraj! Začudo, već na kraju&amp;nbsp; XI veka, na kodeksu monaha u Salemskoj opatiji stajao je natpis: &amp;bdquo;Svaki broj, sve do beskonačnog, proiza&amp;scaron;ao je iz 1, a time i iz 0. U tome je velika tajna.&amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif&quot;&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;color: #ffffff&quot;&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;font-size: small&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;Nula, ovaj &amp;bdquo;ne-broj&amp;ldquo; &amp;ndash;senka broja &amp;ndash; toliko nas intrigira ne samo zato &amp;scaron;to je dualna sa beskonačnim, već zbog toga &amp;scaron;to ona ima čudesnu moć da &lt;em&gt;proizvodi &lt;/em&gt;beskonačno. Kako je ovo moguće?Kako &amp;bdquo;ne&amp;scaron;to&amp;ldquo; &amp;ndash;i to beskonačno &amp;ndash; može da nastane ni iz čega? Ovo pitanje je toliko okupiralo najvećeg poznavaoca matematički beskonačnog u XIX veku, Georga Kantora2, sve dok zauvek nije si&amp;scaron;ao s uma. On je bio uveren da se na kraju lanca svih beskonačnih nalazilo jo&amp;scaron; jedno veće beskonačno koje obuhvata sve prethodne &amp;ndash; sam Bog. A kako je poverio Hilbertu, ne ba&amp;scaron; jasno je predosećao da svi beskonačni, sastavljeni od svih mogućih i zamislivih brojeva, proizilaze iz zajedničkog izvora, numeričkog bezdana u kojem se spajaju sve misterije &amp;ndash; &lt;strong&gt;nule&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;font-size: small&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;Predstavićemo dva takva misteriozna slučaja. Prvi bi mogao da se protumači kao običan kuriozitet, ali je, naprotiv, izuzetno dubok (tako ga barem obično ocenjuju teoretičari brojeva i, posebno, teoretičari nule): nula ima moć da &lt;em&gt;proizvede &lt;/em&gt;broj 1. Kako je to moguće?&amp;nbsp; ako raspolažemo samo nulom i ničim drugim, obavimo jednu od prirodnih operacija koje su moguće (i to, možda, najprirodniju koja postoji): podignimo nulu na nulti stepen. Teorija nam pokazuje da nula na nulti stepen nije jednako nuli, već jedinici! Fantastičan rezultat, neverovatna magija nule koja &amp;bdquo;stvara broj&amp;ldquo; sama od sebe, tj. ni iz čega. Isti rezultat dobićemo i ako izračunamo ono &amp;scaron;to se u matematici naziva &amp;bdquo;nula faktorijel&amp;ldquo;: dakle, 0! = 1. I ovde se jedinica materijalizuje od nule.Pokazaćemo, takodje, da nula može da proizvede sve brojeve, realne ili čisto imaginarne. Postupak za ovaj dokaz postoji jo&amp;scaron; od XIX veka, a preformulisao ga je fon Nojman. Zanimljivo je da je, koristeći taj postupak i formulu koja iz njega proističe, fon Nojman konstruisao četrdesetih godina pro&amp;scaron;log veka prvi računar na svetu. Uzmimo jednostavno simbol nule, koji u teoriji skupova nije nula već prazan skup. Čemu je jednak ovaj prazan skup? Po svom sastavu &amp;ndash; nuli. Matematičkim rečnikom reći ćemo da je &amp;bdquo;kardinalni broj&amp;ldquo; ovog praznog skupa nula. Ako stavimo nulu u &lt;em&gt;unutra&amp;scaron;njost &lt;/em&gt;ovoga praznog skupa, taj skup nije vi&amp;scaron;e prazan: on sadrži nulu, tj. &lt;em&gt;jedan element&lt;/em&gt;, a to znači da kardinal posmatranog skupa vi&amp;scaron;e nije nula, nego &lt;em&gt;jedan&lt;/em&gt;. Drugim rečima, napravili smo jedan od nule. Sada ćemo uzeti broj 1 i staviti ga pored nule u prvobitno prazan skup, koji sada sadrži dva elementa. Kardinal je sada 2, tako da smo proizveli broj 2. Ako stavimo u taj prvobitno prazan skup broj 2, dobićemo kardinal 3, odnosno broj 3, i tako redom, sve do beskonačnog. Napravili smo, dakle, od nule ili ni od čega skup celih prirodnih brojeva.
